Environmental issues have always been taken seriously at Cardenas
Since its inception in 1957, the company TRANSFORMS, or in current terms, RECYCLES its industrial leftovers.
Raw material leftovers, such as ALUMINUM coils and BRASS bars, are returned to suppliers to be processed again into raw materials for new use.
As for leftovers from injected PLASTIC products, they are RECYCLED within the company. We use the generated waste (leftovers) and add it to new raw materials in a pre-established ratio to not compromise quality, thus maintaining a consistent standard in our products.
In terms of PACKAGING, both those protecting raw materials (e.g., cardboard, paper, plastic, wood) and those generated internally, are DONATED to an institution, which categorizes, treats, and resells them to packaging manufacturers.
Our SUPPLIERS are classified and qualified. They issue CERTIFICATES confirming compliance with environmental rules in manufacturing or service provision to the market.
NON-POLLUTING SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL
All generated INDUSTRIAL WASTE is sent to companies that will provide proper treatment, following documentation and handling and storage conditions as stipulated by environmental control agencies (CADRI / CETESB).
Items destined for TREATMENT include: iron scraps, used oils and greases, paint booth filters, cleaning cloths used in the factory, sawdust from the tumbling process, burned fluorescent lamps, discarded PPEs, among others.
